Custom caps: 12 minimum
Our minimum for custom caps is 12. That covers direct embroidery and our standard patch styles, including leather, woven, PVC, sublimated, and digital print patches. Not sure which style fits your logo? Our guide to
embroidery vs. patches vs. leather walks through it.
If you want a cap built completely from scratch, with your own shape, materials, and finishes, that’s our Full Custom option. It’s quoted per project with a 50-cap minimum.
Shirts: 24 for screen print, 6 for Digital Print
Screen printing is the best value for volume and starts at 24 shirts. Prices start at $7 per shirt for higher-volume, 1-color prints, and your exact price depends on quantity, the shirt, and the number of colors.
Digital print is the go-to for small runs and full-color art, starting at just 6 shirts. There’s a $20 art fee under 24 pieces, waived at 24+. See both side by side on our
T-Shirts page.
Embroidered apparel and polos
Embroidery on polos, quarter zips, jackets, and workwear starts at 12 pieces. Embroidered polos start at 6, which makes them an easy pick for a small front-desk or sales team.
Looking for “no minimum” hats in Austin?
We don’t do one-offs or print-on-demand. We’re a custom decoration shop focused on quality production runs. A 12-cap minimum is low enough for a small crew, a single department, or a one-day event.
What “quoted” means for 12–24 caps
The pricing on our
Caps page starts at 25 caps. That’s where per-cap prices are listed for every cap and logo style. If you need 12 to 24 caps, you can absolutely order them. We just price those quantities individually instead of from the table.
Send us your logo, cap style, and quantity, and we’ll come back with an exact price. Per-cap prices drop as quantity goes up, so if you’re close to 25, it’s worth asking what the jump would cost.
How long custom hats and shirts take
Standard turnaround is 10–15 business days from art approval. That goes for caps and shirts.
The key words are “from art approval.” The clock doesn’t start when you first reach out. It starts once you sign off on your mockup and production details. Here’s how an order moves:
- You send a quote request with your art, quantity, product, and date. We usually reply within 15 minutes during business hours.
- We build a free digital mockup and send it for your approval.
- You review it and request changes until it’s right. Nothing gets made until you approve.
- We order or pull the blanks and start production.
This is the 10–15 business day window.
- We ship it to you. We ship nationwide. Yes, we can split one order and ship it to multiple locations.
Business days are weekdays, so 10–15 business days is roughly two to three calendar weeks, not counting holidays.
Can you rush an order?
Often, yes. It depends on our capacity, the decoration method, and whether the blanks are available. On caps, rush (under 10 business days) is +15%. For shirts and everything else, put your date in the quote form and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
The best way to avoid paying for rush is to start early. Which brings us to planning.
Planning for an event or the holidays: work backward
Pick the date you need gear in hand, then count back:
- Shipping or pickup time to get it to you (or to each location)
- 10–15 business days of production
- Time for the mockup and your approval, including any back-and-forth or sign-off from your boss, client, or committee
- A few days of cushion for holidays, weekends, and surprises
Here’s an example. If your company party is on a Friday, count back three weeks of business days for production, then add time for shipping, for the mockup and approval, and a little cushion. Reaching out at least a month ahead usually puts you in good shape. For holiday gifts and year-end events, start even earlier, because business days don’t count holidays, and approvals tend to slow down when people are out of the office.

What slows an order down
Most delays happen before production even starts. Watch for these:
- Slow mockup approval. Production can’t start until you sign off. If three people need to approve, get them lined up early.
- Art that needs work. Vector files (.ai, .eps, .pdf, or .svg) are best. If all you have is a low-res logo, we can clean it up, but that takes extra time and art cleanup fees may apply.
- Blank availability. If a specific cap or shirt color is out of stock, we’ll need to find it or suggest a close match.
- Missing details. Final quantities, sizes, and ship-to addresses all need to be locked in. Collect shirt sizes before you approve the mockup, not after.
- Changes after approval. A new logo version or quantity change once production starts can push back your date.
Reorders are faster (and the setup is waived)
Once we’ve made your gear, reordering is easy. We archive your approved art, digitized files, and screens, so your next run matches the first one. On caps, the $35 setup fee on new orders is waived on reorders. Just reference your previous order or design and tell us the new quantity.
If you know you’ll need more hats for new hires, a second event, or next season, a reorder is the fastest way to get there.
